CAMBRENSIS/WDA HYDROGEN SEMINAR
‘ UPDATE ON US AND EU HYDROGEN INTITIATIVES’
2.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m. FRIDAY 26 SEPTEMBER 2003, CARDIFF

The first meeting of Cambrensis’ Renewables and Hydrogen Contact Group will be held jointly with the Welsh Development Agency’s Future Technologies Group at a seminar at the St David’s Hotel & Spa, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff on the afternoon of Friday 26 September 2003.

The informal seminar will feature updates on work on hydrogen developments in both America and Europe, and will include –

Reports on latest US Hydrogen initiatives

  • David Citron, US Embassy Environment and Energy section

  • William Wilson, Cambrensis on the March 2003 annual meeting of the U.S. National Hydrogen Association, at which he spoke

Reports on latest EU Hydrogen initiatives

  • Dr John Murlis, Cambrensis on the June 2003 EU Hydrogen conference, which he attended as a delegate and the 10 September 2003 launch of new EU initiatives

Welsh Hydrogen initiatives

  • Professor Dennis Hawkes
    Glamorgan University Hydrogen Project

United Kingdom Hydrogen network

  • Dr Geoff Dutton
    CLRC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory/
    Tyndall centre for the Climate Change Research

The seminar is attracting considerable interest from representatives from industry, science and government and policy making, both within Wales and from outside.

It is timed to coincide with the Grove Fuel Cell Symposium in London from 24-26 September, and information about direct transport links by rail or air from London to Cardiff can be provided on request.

Attendance at the seminar is free, but space is limited, so early applications are recommended.
