CAMBRENSIS
LAUNCHES RENEWABLES AND HYDROGEN CONTACT GROUP
Building
on the success of its ground-breaking Hydrogen Economy seminar in London
in January 2003, Cambrensis is launching a Renewables and Hydrogen
Contact Group.
This group
will be able to convene informal events and briefings to cover significant
developments in these fast moving areas. It will aim to bring together
key people from different disciplines – such as science, industry
and policymaking – and from different jurisdictions – such
as the United States and the European Union.
Announcing
the launch of the Renewables and Hydrogen Contact Group,
Cambrensis Director William Wilson said –
“Renewables
policy has moved to centre stage with the announcement of ambitious
new targets for 2020 and 2050 in the UK Energy White Paper. But how
will they be delivered?
Hydrogen
technology is being given a major boost in the US with the FreedomFuel
initiative and in the UK with the Fuel Cells UK industry network and
the commitments in the Energy White Paper. But again, key questions
of delivery remain unanswered.
This group
will be ideally placed to bring together key players working in these
areas in Britain, Europe, America and elsewhere.”.
