“DOES THE UK HAVE AN ENERGY POLICY?”
CAMBRENSIS SEMINAR
Middle Temple Hall, Middle Temple, London EC4 FRIDAY 24th JUNE 2005 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
There are many unresolved questions about the UK’s future energy policy, such as the UK’s likely fuel mix to 2020 and beyond, what the UK is going to do as it becomes a net importer of oil and gas, whether or not we are going to meet the UK’s renewable targets, what are the prospects for ‘clean coal’, when we are going to know about new nuclear build and what we are going to do about carbon emissions from transport.
This important seminar will be exploring some of these questions with a number of experienced and knowledgeable speakers from a variety of different backgrounds.
Confirmed speakers include
Melville Haggard, Executive Chairman of Impax Capital Corporation
Professor Phil Bowen, Professor of Energy Systems at Cardiff University
Dave Sowden, Chairman of the Micropower Council
Nigel Burdett, Environmental Manager, Drax Power
Gaynor Harnell, Director of Policy, Renewable Power Association
Other speakers will be confirmed and details posted on our website shortly.
Attendance at this seminar will cost £50 inclusive of VAT, to include lunch in Middle Temple Hall, free to Members of Cambrensis’ Renewables and Hydrogen Contact Group and to all previous speakers at one of our seminars.
