DIRECTOR DAVID SLATER TO SPEAK AT MAJOR EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON
CHEMICAL REGULATION –September
2003
Cambrensis Director Dr David
Slater, formerly Chief Inspector of HM Inspectorate of Pollution,
will speak at a leading European Conference
on ‘Understanding chemical control policies: International perspectives’ scheduled
for 15th and 15th September 2003 in Sweden.
The two day seminar and workshop will bring together policy-makers,
leading business authorities and international experts. Other speakers
will include EU Environment Commissioner Margot Wallstrom, the Honourable
Rockwell Schnabel, US Ambassador to the European Union, Eggert Voscherau,
President of CEFIC, Susan Hazen, Deputy Administrator of the US EPA
and others.
The conference is sponsored by MISTRA, the NEWS research project,
the Swedish Plastics and Chemical Federation and the US Mission to
Europe, and is organised by Professor Ragnar Lofstedt of the Kings
Centre for Risk Management, Kings College, London.
