At the next meeting of Cambrensis'
Renewables and Hydrogen Contact Group at the Middle Temple Hall,
Middle Temple, London EC4 on Friday
7th May 2004, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Department for Trade and Industry,
DEFRA, Bulmer Foundation, Fibrowatt, Energy Power Resources and Department
for Transport will all be sending senior speakers –

Alistair
Cormie, Director of the Bulmer Foundation will be speaking about
their plans
for a Biomass facility in Herefordshire.

Dr
Karen Hetherington, Renewables Policy Adviser of the Department
for Trade and Industry will be setting Biomass and Biofuels
within the overall context of the Government’s energy policy.

Rupert
Furness, Branch Head - Transport, Environment & Taxation of the Department
for Transport will be discussing EU policies
on the promotion of Biofuels.

Sue
Finlay, of
DEFRA, Agri-Industrial Materials, will discuss the problems and opportunities
for Biomass and Biofuels in the Common
Agricultural Policy and its Mid Term Review.

Paul
Anthony, Executive Chairman of Fibrowatt and Chief
Executive of Energy Power Resources
Limited, will speak on what aspects of Government
policy on Biomass help or hinder company operations, which include
power stations powered by chicken litter.
