Is REACH a THREAT or an OPPORTUNITY?

REACH implementation is now well under way, with Entry into Force on 1 June 2007, and Pre-registration of substances due between 1 June and 1 December 2008. While there are many ways to find out about this upcoming legislation and its implications of “no data – no market”, Cambrensis offers the in depth, trusted source of advice that companies will need, when they look at the implications of this Regulation for their specific issues, markets and competitive positions, as opposed to generic, or simpler Trade Association issues.

We have been working on the issues around this regulation for some ten years.
We have been intensively involved in the detailed negotiations on the final text of the Directive for some two and a half years.
We are now fully engaged with helping companies, consortia, fora and trade associations prepare for REACH.
We convene, workshops, seminars and Director level briefing sessions for global multinationals, individual companies, industry experts and academics
We have been working with key aerospace, metals, mining, retail, manufacturing, chemicals and trading companies and trade associations.

William WILSON, who is an experienced ( 17 years) specialist environmental lawyer; some 10 years of which were in government; with recent experience of participating in the negotiations on REACH. He brings a special insight into how the Regulation works, and the legal and practical implications of Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Substitution, and the particular interpretation of the intent and implications of emerging issues for Manufacturers, Importers, Downstream Users and the Supply Chain: and
Dr David SLATER, who is both a chemist and a former regulator with extensive knowledge and experience of advising on chemical regulation and policy at the European Commission, the UK government and for individual companies. He is thus able to bring a balanced perspective to the practical implementation of this complex piece of legislation. For example, he was asked to chair for the European Commission and industry, the workshop on a particularly challenging area, Alloys and Special Preparations, in Brussels in October 2006
